I have attached a paper I wrote during the first year of my Mater's degree on my theory of client change . Since then, my personal approach to counselling has evolved in such a way that I currently place more emphasis on Narrative and Family Therapy approaches, as opposed to Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy approaches. I am certain my philosophy of counselling will continue to evolve as I grow personally and professionally, however I believe my core values of client-centered, collaborative, and ethical practice will remain constant over time. I firmly believe in the importance of developing a strong working alliance to facilitate a variety of therapeutic interventions and support an integrative approach. I place significant value in being authentic, attuned, compassionate and respectful towards clients.
